EFFICIENT METHOD OF AUDIO STEGANOGRAPHY BY MODIFIED LSB ALGORITHM AND STRONG ENCRYPTION KEY WITH ENHANCED SECURITY
ABSTRACT

In the current internet community, secure data transfer is limited due to its attack made on datacommunication. So more robust methods are chosen so that they ensure secured data transfer. One of thesolutions which came to the rescue is the audio Steganography. But existing audio steganographic systemshave poor interface, very low level implementation, difficult to understand and valid only for certain audioformats with restricted message size.Enhanced Audio Steganography (EAS) is one proposed system which is based on audioSteganography and cryptography, ensures secure data transfer between the source and destination. EASuses most powerful encryption algorithm in the first level of security, which is very complex to break. Inthe second level it uses a more powerful modified LSB (Least Significant Bit) Algorithm to encode themessage into audio. It performs bit level manipulation to encode the message.The basic idea behind this paper is to provide a good, efficient method for hiding the data fromhackers and sent to the destination in a safer manner. Though it is well modulated software it has beenlimited to certain restrictions. The quality of sound depends on the size of the audio which the user selectsand length of the message. Though it shows bit level deviations in the frequency chart, as a whole thechange in the audio cannot be determined.

1. INTRODUCTION
Steganography is the practice of hidinginformation “in plain sight”. This techniquerelies on a message being encoded and hidden ina transport layer in such a way as to make theexistence of the message unknown to anobserver. Importantly, the transport layer - thecarrier file - is not secret and can therefore beviewed by observers from whom the secretmessage itself should be concealed. The powerof steganography is in hiding the secret messageby obscurity, hiding its existence in a non-secretfile. In that sense, steganography is differentfrom cryptography, which involves making thecontent of the secret message unreadable whilenot preventing non-intended observers fromlearning about its existence1.Because the successof the technique depends entirely on the abilityto hide the message such that an observer wouldnot suspect it is there at all, the greatest effortmust go into ensuring that the message isinvisible unless one knows what to look for. Theway in which this is done will differ for thespecific media that are used to hide theinformation. In each case, the value of asteganographic approach can be measured byhow much information can be concealed in acarrier before it becomes detectable, eachtechnique can thus be thought of in terms of itscapacity for information hiding.There are numerous methods used tohide information inside of Picture, Audio andVideo files. 2.EXISTING SYSTEM:
The existing system of AudioSteganography poses more restrictions on thechoosing of audio files. User can select only wavfiles to encode. It supports water markingmethod to encode .It complexity arises whenmore message to be encoded. The messagelength is restricted to 500 characters. It doesn’tshows the variations occurred after encoding themessage. The LSB algorithm in the existingsystem is not efficient because it hides themessage in consecutive bytes received fromaudio files.The disadvantages of existing system is
