Edge Avoider Robot (EAR) is a mobile device that detects and avoids the absence of surface underneath it. This simple concept was designed by our RB researchers to help your robot to protect itself from falling. Like our previous robotic projects, this robot is also made without microcontroller so that everyone feels more comfortable developing their own robot.

Required Components:

Edge Avoider Robot requires only simple mechanical and electronic components such as:
• Robot chassis - 1 num.
• 12V DC motor (60 RPM) - 2 knots.
• Plastic wheels - 2 or 4 n. (Based on chassis)
• Bakery - 1 num.
• Sensor module IR - 1 no.
• IC 7805-1 no.
• IC NE555 - 1 no.
• IC L293D - 1 no.
• Capacitor 10 μF - 2 knots.
• Condenser 0.1 μF - 1 no.
• 9V battery - 1 no. (Requires according to use)
• Battery holder - 1 no.
• Battery set - 1 no.
• Board wires - 2 meters
• LED - 1 num.
• Resistors 1K and 10K - Every 1 not.
• 10K Trim Pot - 1 on

Note: We recommend that you purchase replacement IC for all ICs specified in the component list. This could ever help you save your precious time if an IC does not work.
