1. INTRODUCTION
With the advancement of technology, the mode of education is experiencing an increasing need to accommodate changes in the traditional method of teaching as well as learning. This caused the emergence of e-leaming, which in recent years has created a path for education for everyone. E-leaming is defined as the acquisition and use knowledge, distributed and facilitated primarily by electronic means . The rapid growth of computers and access to internet made it possible to bring the concepts like twenty four hour learning in reality . E--learning provides different features including, computer-aided learning tools, online resource based systems, online forums for dedicated learning groups, virtual classroom, etc. and act as a powerful way to disseminate knowledge to the students. E-leaming tools are establishing communication between educators and learners, regardless of their geographical location, especially to those people who live in remote areas with limited access to conventional education facilities. Compared to urban areas, the remote areas of developing countries face problems, such as, lack of adequate funds, limited standard of educational institutions, limited or no availability of reading materials(e.g., text books and reference books), inefficient teaching personnel, lack of monitoring of the overall infrastructures, etc. As a result, in most of the developing countries, the education system is centralized around the urban areas, which creates a notable difference in education standards throughout the country.
E-learning can be a solution to improve this situation in a developing country like India where more than 70% population lives in rural and remote areas , and the literacy rate in those areas is not satisfactory. If people in the rural and remote areas can be facilitated with same course materials and similar pedagogical approach as the urban schools via e-learning, the difference between the standards of urban and rural education systems can be reduced.
To ensure nationwide uniform learning facilities , in this paper, we propose a web-service oriented resource based e-leaming system named "E-School" that is capable of providing same e-learning facilities for the entire county. This proposed system provides uniform course materials for all schools, useful multimedia tools for enhanced learning, uniform databases to retrieve information, and accessibility from any mobile devices or personal computers from anywhere of the country.
PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The project is mainly used to provide the easy way of learning without considering the geographical area. In this system it provides different books in different formats. One can view register into this system and can view the books and video files which have already added. At the same time the registered faculty and students can pose queries and get the answers.
1.1 Purpose of the project:
E-School over Internet to spreading education to every one overall . Students and anyone those who are interested in learning over the net at any time they want they can learn. In order to provide E-Iearning facility that can ensure education for everyone without considering their geographical locations. So that one can get the total benefits of e-Iearning.
1.2 Problem Definition
1.2.1 Existing System:

Presently there are many e Learning websites but all these are either private (commercial) and also not free of charge and business oriented.
1.2.2 Proposed System:
Our proposed E-School is a web-service oriented online resource based e-Learning tool that provides uniform education facilities among all students. This web-portal is proposed to be hosted and maintained by the Ministry of Education. In our E-School system, we propose to maintain an integrated web-service to be used by the administrators (authorized personnel), students, and teachers of all education institutes.
1.3 Modules:
The system has the following modules.
1.3.1 Administrator Module:
Administrator takes care of secure registration and profile management for the members. Administrator tracks member’s activities and progress. Administrator facilitates communication through discussion forums, Administrator provides information about activities. Administrator handles basic facilities such as add and update faculty details , generation of reports, adds books and video files that are useful for students.
1.3.2 Faculty module:
In Faculty module the faculty can add and view books and Video files. He can post the queries and respond to the received queries.
1.3.3 Student Module:
In the student module, student can login after registering into the E-School.The student can retrieve the information by viewing the available books and video files.
 Student can login any time.
 If student has any queries he can post to the faculty.
 Student can answer the queries in the existed queries if he knows.
1.4 SCOPE
This document is the only one that describes the requirements of the system. It is meant for the use by the developers, and will also be the basis for validating the final delivered system. Any changes made to the requirements in the future will have to go through a formal change approval process. The developer is responsible for asking for clarifications, where necessary, and will not make any alterations without the permission of the client.
1.5 Literature survey
Bangladesh is one of the most densely populated countries in the world with nearly 140 million people living within an area of 147,570 square kilometers. Its vast population could be the major resources of the country. However, lack of proper education is creating challenges for the government of Bangladesh to transform the potential people into a productive force. Our study shows that, though there are formal e-Iearning facilities available at the university level, there are very limited nationwide e-Iearning facilities for higher secondary students, which is the biggest student body of Bangladesh. As majority of the population lives in the rural areas in Bangladesh, there is a need of e-Iearning tools to reduce the digital gap between the urban and the rural education institutes. Therefore, in this paper we propose to develop a web-service oriented e-Iearing tool named "E-School" for higher education system of Bangladesh to provide nationwide uniform education facilities.
In Bangladesh, more than 75% population dwells in rural areas. E-Iearning can be applied to improve the education system in the country as the literacy rate in rural and remote areas is not satisfactory compared to the literacy rate of the urban areas of the country. Our study identifies several factors which create obstacles in providing standard education to the students living in rural and remote areas of Bangladesh. First of all, the education facilities are extremely limited in those areas of Bangladesh, for example lack of educational institution for providing quality education, lack of adequate funds, limited availability of reading materials inefficient teaching personnel, lack of proper monitoring system, etc. Furthermore, poverty forces the rural students to
join workforce without completing their basic level of studies despite their superior merit. The tradition of early marriage in the rural areas also deprives the female students from receiving education. In such circumstances, e-Iearning can provide students with the opportunity to access the most up to date learning contents which may not be achieved through traditional education system of Bangladesh. As the course materials of e-Iearning facilities are available round the clock, the usage of e-Iearning tools save time and cost for the students and also gives them location flexibility.
From our previous discussion, it is understandable that introducing e-Ieaming is an excellent solution to ensure education for everyone in Bangladesh. However, creating new infrastructures for e-Iearning facilities requires huge amount of funds. To minimize the initial operational costs of the e-Iearning system, we emphasize on using an existing infrastructure rather than establishing a new one. The existing mobile phone network of Bangladesh is operated by both public and private mobile phone companies and provides nationwide coverage including the urban, rural and remote areas of Bangladesh. According to Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulator Commission (BTRC) by March 2010, the total number of mobile phone subscriber was approximately 54.7 million . This number is drastically increasing ever day as the service is being
provided to the users at a very minimum cost. Besides the usual mobile services, the operators offer mobile interest facilities for browsing, emailing, chatting, data downloading etc. The operators also allow the users to use the mobile phones as modems to browse interest from their personal computers. Some mobile phone operators have established community information centers around the country to provide easy access of interest to their users . So, it is evident that Bangladesh already has the framework ready for providing e-Iearning throughout the country using either a computer or a mobile phone device. Besides this, the number of mobile phone user is far larger than the number of personal computer users in Bangladesh. Moreover, the owning and operating cost of mobile devises are noticeably lower than the same of personal computers. Therefore, we propose to use this existing mobile phone network as the medium of communication and choose mobile devices as our primary terminals for the end users of the system over personal computers.
