The proactive routing protocol maintains constant and updated routing information for each pair of network nodes by proactively propagating route updates over a fixed time interval. Periodic and event-driven messages are responsible for establishing the route and maintaining the route. The Destination-Sequenced Distance Vector (DSDV) protocol is the proactive routing protocol commonly used in the ad hoc mobile network (MANET). In DSDV, each node maintains a routing table with a routing entry for each destination in which the shortest route is recorded. Uses a destination sequence number to avoid routing loops. Sample17.tcl shows a node configuration for a wireless mobile node that runs DSDV as its adhoc routing protocol. Before establishing the communication between the source and receiver node, the routing protocol must be mentioned to find the route between them. Data transmission is established between nodes using the UDP agent and CBR traffic. The routing process follows the DSDV routing protocol.
