Drag is a mechanical force that is generated with a solid object moving through a fluid. There must be movement between the object and the fluid. The friction acts in the direction opposite to the direction of movement of the body. When a body moves, it then experiences a drag force and usually has two components, friction drag which is called viscous drag and drag drag which is called dragging or dragging profile.

Frictional friction is generated with friction between the surfaces and the fluid in which it flows and is associated with the developed boundary layers. The pressure drag is generated from the swirling motions in the fluid with the passage of the body and is associated with the formation of a wake.

For the study of drag reduction on ships, Microbubbles Technology is the latest development which reduces almost 20-80%. Microbubbles are a friction reduction device that reduces the friction of the skin of a solid body floating in the water by injecting small bubbles into the turbulent boundary layer that is developing in the solid body. The energy needed to inject bubbles into the bottom of the hull is not small because of the large vessels that have great depth of water through which the bubbles have to be injected. Therefore, to reduce the amount of microbubble injection of air technology is applied. The drag of a boat has two components, one is wave drag and another is rub friction of skin
