The position of the dish, ie the tuning, is very important to obtain the satellite's standard broadcast signals. The dish should be pointed at a correct angle to get the strongest signal possible. If the position of the dish is adjusted manually, the dish can not be directed to the best possible position. This proposed system is intended to adjust the position of the dish through a simple TV remote control by pressing the buttons corresponding to the direction of the dish position.
The proposed system uses an 8051 family microcontroller and a rectified power supply. In this system, an IR receiver (TSOP) is interconnected to the microcontroller to receive the modulated signals from the television remote control. Two motors are controlled by the motor controller that is connected to the microcontroller.
The position of the dish (addictive) is controlled by a television remote control, in which the commands (coded infrared data) sent by the transmitter are on the TV remote control. The TSOP receives these commands and sends them to the preprogrammed microcontroller, where the received data (coded data based on RC5) is compared to the stored data. If set, the microcontroller releases corresponding signals to control the position of the dish in different directions, such as forwards, backwards, up and down, etc.
