The term MPFI is generally used to specify a variant of the engine used in gasoline vehicles. A small computerized system is used to control the automobile engine. A gasoline car will have more than three combustion chambers or simply cylinders. The MPFI engine is abbreviated as the multi-point fuel injection engine. The MPFI engine received this name because of the reason why each cylinder has a fuel injector installed near them. That is why they are called as the multipoint fuel injection engine.
Because the construction of the carburetor is relatively simple, it has been used almost exclusively in gasoline engines in the past. However, we currently need a cleaner exhaust emission system, cheaper fuel consumption, better handling, etc.
Therefore instead of the carburetor MPFI system (multipoint fuel injection) is used, ensuring the proper ratio of fuel and air to the engine by means of electric fuel injection in accordance with various driving conditions.
