“Astrology is a science. However, if we added strong efforts and hard work for self-development, the future would be bright,” said Union Power Minister Sushilkumar Shinde, speaking at a presentation ceremony of Bhagyasanket Pariwar's awards to Ayurvedacharya Dr Balaji Tambe and astrologer Bejan Daruwala on Sunday.
Bhagyasanket Pariwar's Ayurvedacharya Kashinathji Toshniwal Puraskar was presented to Ayurvedacharya Dr Balaji Tambe and Guruvarya M D Bhat Puraskar was presented to astrologer Bejan Daruwala by Shinde.
Industrialist Venugopal Dhoot, Dr Sunanda Rathi, Shriram Bhat, Sushil Toshniwal, Leeladevi Toshniwal and Jayashree Pendse were present on the occasion.
Shinde further added, “Ayurveda and astrology, both these fields are the pride of our country. The research in these fields is still continuing. While the foreign researchers have been engaged in study and research of these sciences, we should also proceed with the right message relevant to modern times.”
In his address, Dr Tambe said, “Ayurveda, astrology and music are three ancient Indian sciences intertwined with each other and complementary to each other. A good balance of these three will make humankind live a happy life.”
