The international initiative on Inter-company and Intra-Organizational Integration of Companies (EI3-IC) aimed at increasing international consensus (IC) and public awareness of business integration. In this process we intend to present the current situation in inter- and intra-organizational integration for e-commerce and thus further increase the awareness and consensus within academia and industry about the inter and intra-organizational integration of enterprises. The work of the conference contains papers presented at the ICEIMT conference in Valencia, Spain, selected papers presented at the different workshops and three papers on the initiative itself: overview, history and results. The procedures follow the structure of the conference with each section (parts 2 to 5), beginning with the reports of the working group, followed by a particular view on the topic of the section and other articles presented at the conference or during the related workshop . The editorials of the section discuss the different contributions. As indicated in the article by Nell and Goranson in section 1, the results of all the workshops indicate the important role of business processes in the field of e-commerce and virtual enterprises. The dissemination of relevant knowledge among partners and their availability to support decision-making at all levels of management and across organizational boundaries will significantly increase trust among partners at different levels of operations Associated. Clearly business process modeling can significantly improve the establishment, operation, and mission of the required collaboration.
