Creating a Text Editor in VB.NET
A basic understanding of vb.net is important. As a first part, create a new project. Add a richtextbox to your form. Resize it to suit the look and leave some space above for the menu. change the anchor under( Properties box )to top bottom left right so it gets bigger as you resize the application. Go back to the toolbar and add Menustrip and Move it to the top of the form and add : File and Format to the boxes along the menu strip. OpenFileDialog1, SaveFileDialog1, PrintDocument1, PrintDialog1, FontDialog1, and ColorDialog1 are to be added next after returning to the toolbar. Begin with the coding for open and save. This is done by going back to the code editor and adding the code there.
