Today the world is focusing on automation. Each human work is reduced by one machine, but few areas such as construction the use of machines for bending rods for stirrups that are used to support loads on beams and columns are not made per machine because the machine cost is high and needs work Qualified to operate it. So this project is destined to do the bending operation for stirrups using hydraulics and named as hydraulic flexing machine for rods. The main objective of our project is to implement the hydraulic rod bender in the construction sites with a lower cost compared to the existing bending machines and increase the productivity of the stirrups. Hydraulic stem bender consists of double-acting cylinder, P-40 steering control valve, hoses, motor, pump, rack and pinion, free wheel, accessory. The rod is bent by the piston of the hydraulic cylinder keeping the rod in the device. The main advantage of our project is that the square shape of the stirrups is bent continuously without repositioning the rod in the machine.
Hydraulically operated equipment is used in various fields. Some of them include lowering and lifting the chair hydraulically in hairdressing or dentist shops, in a hydraulic jack car is posed for grease work. Stepping on the brake pedal creates hydraulic power, which stops the rotation of all four wheels or two wheels to stop. In order to bend the pipes, rods and hydraulic rods bending machine is the most suitable equipment. The tubing or rod that is folded is supported between the supports and the jack is driven into the pipe. It exerts force on the pipe and bends it to a suitable angle depending on the used dies. The actuation of the hydraulic jack is simple and easy to maintain. In industries, they use presses and load applicators for bending applications. These are bulky and expensive. The hydraulic bending machine is portable, flexible and less expensive than the ones discussed above. Therefore, it is best to replace the conventional machines by the hydraulic bending machine. Helps reduce the size, the space occupied, the cost employed can be minimized. The manual folding machine does not require maintenance and energy consumption. During mass production it can be converted into an automated or electrically operated jack so that the production rate can be increased. The applications of bending machines are in the industries of production, petroleum, chemical, automobile, etc...
