Pepsi-Cola Manufacturing International, Limited manufactures soft drinks, juices, flavouring extracts, syrups and other beverages. The company was incorporated in 2002 and has its headquarters in Cidra, Puerto Rico. Pepsi-Cola's original trademark application was filed on September 23, 1902 with the registration approved June 16, 1903. In the application statement, Caleb Bradham describes Pepsi-Cola's trademark and indicated that the trademark Was in continuous use for its business since August 1, 1901. The Pepsi-Cola description is a flavor syrup for soda water. The mark expired on April 15, 1904.

A second Pepsi-Cola trademark is registered with the USPTO. The date of application filed by Caleb Bradham for the second mark is Saturday, April 15, 1905, with the successful registration date of April 15, 1906, more than three years after the original date. Curiously, in this application, Caleb Bradham states that the mark had been continuously used in his business "and those from which the title was derived since in the 1905 application the description presented to the USPTO was for a tonic drink." The federal state for the 1905 mark is registered and renewed and is owned by PepsiCo of Purchase, New York. In 2014, the 1940 symbol was used again and replace the current marker in many cans.

Pepsi Economy

A soda bottling plant may seem like a strange place to make the economy, but come with me and take a look at what you see. This is what a typical plant could be. The first thing you notice is the size. It's a huge room, it feels like a soccer field with a big roof. At one end of this enormous room are rows and rows of soda finished in liters and cans, on pallets, stacked to the ceiling, ready to be loaded in trucks. Then there are archers and empty rows ready to be filled. And there is a huge roller coaster structure that takes the drains to the filling room and is reassembled into six packs and cases. The filling room is walled in glass from the rest of the facility. The empty cans enter through a gap in the glass and are loaded into a giantroulette structure similar to a wheel with a diameter of perhaps ten feet. They emptiesride along the edge of this wheel and more than 100 nozzles come down and fill them with soda. They are then rotated from the wheel to be pushed into six packs. Here is how well it runs. Twenty people can take over a trillion empty cans and fill them and put them in a pallet, ready for shipment. Imagine getting everything out of the factory so it's just a shell. Take the dumbest people in the world. Tell them that you have complete freedom. What is the best way to fill and pack soda cans? Tell them they can use as many workers as they want. They can design and build any machine they want, as long as it fits in space. Then tell them that whatever the cost of the machinery and the people they hire, they have to get out of the income they receive from selling the soda for example $ 3 per pack of six. Of course, that's the retail price. They really would have to go through $ 1.50. They could not do it. It would take them a millennium only to design and build the machinery, and even then, they would not do well.
It appears that ten people produce one billion cans of soda in a year. That's what you see. What you do not see is the work that goes into the machinery that helps those ten workers do the work. Think of the machine that fills the can or the one that checks if it is full. Someone had to think about it and design it and build it and improve it. He is more than a person. It is an army of people. And that's just a small part of what the soda can can produce for only 50 cents.
