1. Optical Communication System
The word "optical" means light. As its name suggests, the optical communication system depends on light as a means of communication. In an optical communication system, the transmitter converts the information into an optical signal (signal in the form of light) and finally the signal reaches the recipient. The receiver then decodes the signal and responds accordingly. In the optical communication system, light helps in the transmission of information. 2. Radio Communication System
In the radio communication system information flows with the help of a radio. Radio communication system works with the aid of a transmitter and a receiver, both equipped with an antenna.
The transmitter with the aid of an antenna produces signals that are carried through the radio carrier wave. The receiver also receives the signal with the help of an antenna. Some information is not wanted and should be discarded and therefore the electronic filters aid in the separation of radio signals from other unwanted signals that are further amplified at an optimal level Finally the signals are decoded into information that can be easily understood By individuals for them to respond accordingly.
3. Duplex communication system
In the duplex communications system, two devices can communicate with each other in both directions simultaneously and hence the Duplex name. When you interact with your friend over the phone, both of you can listen to the other at the same time. The sender sends the signals to the receiving receiver then and there and also gives his valuable feedback to the speaker to respond. Therefore, communication actually takes place between the speaker and the receiver simultaneously.

4. Half Duplex Communication System
In half Duplex communication system, both parties can not communicate simultaneously. The sender has to stop sending the signals to the recipient and only the recipient can respond.
A walkie talkie works on the half-duplex communication system. Military personnel while interacting have to say "Over" for the other person to respond. 5. Tactical communication system
