A wireless sensor network (WSN) is spatially dispersed self-sufficient sensors to examine physical or environmental situations. The main disadvantages in WSN are the level of shelter for the message being sent and the energy consumption of each node with which the network life time is adjusted. The RSA algorithm was practically attacked in the year 2000 and its level of security has been reduced. To improve the security level, the AES algorithm has been invented and practically implemented. The shelter level is increased using the AES algorithm. But there are some problems in the AES algorithm. In which the AES algorithm with localization based, that is, the monitoring of the environment is not in the practical system. This work is based on the implementation of the GEAR protocol together with the AES algorithm. In which the localization process is implemented. The GEAR protocol is a location-based, energy-aware protocol. GEAR is Geographical Energy Aware Routing Protocol where energy conscious using GPS. Using the GEAR routing protocol together with the AES algorithm have solved many problems such as increased performance, decreased power consumption, location-based routing and high-level security is also achieved. Where the network life is increased and the network is given a high level of security. In this paper we compare the AES algorithm with the AES algorithm implemented in the GEAR protocol.
