The magazine Catholicasabha is a daring adventure taken by the late Fr. Antony Anthikatt in the field of proclamation of the media and the gospel in the year -1970. This month aims to educate the Catholic faith and Christian values to Catholics and non-Catholics. In 2008 Mar Andrews Thazhath the current Archbishop of Trichur made this magazine as the official monthly bulletin of news and opinions of the Archdiocese. He received a format and the nature of a newspaper.
As the official monthly newspaper of the archdiocese, it reaches 93,000 families in the Archdiocese and more than 20,000 families throughout India. It has the motto that "truth will liberate" inspired by the Gospel of John (8:12). These words lead to these means to the audacious and courageous proclamation of the word of God in the present society. Within three years, its circulation has grown to 1.25,000 copies per month. Their political and social interventions have encouraged many young Catholics to respond to their rights and duties.
For the past three years, Catholicasabha defended the rights of minorities in the Christian community in India and especially in Kerala. Now it became an urgent need to start an internet marriage service as a number of people come to the office in need of posting their profile through the magazine. Since the Catholic community emigrated and dispersed in various parts of the world they can meet in catholicasabha media services for various spiritual and material needs of different reasons.
