For example, at the certificate level, prospective students can find certificates of biomedical electronic technology and certificates of biomedical electronics.

Training in biomedical instrumentation can also be found in associate degree programs in biomedical equipment technology or electronic technology. Courses within these programs often include practical training, and credits can be transferred to a bachelor's degree program. There are also some undergraduate programs in biomedical engineering that include a concentration or follow-up in biomedical instrumentation for students who want to learn more about the design and development of medical electronic equipment. Online programs are commonly available at the associate level and above.
