Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) is an Indian state-owned aerospace and defense company with nearly nine factories and few regional offices in India. It is owned by the Government of India and mainly manufactures advanced electronic products for the Armed Forces of India. BEL is one of nine PSUs under the Ministry of Defense of India. The Government of India granted him the status of Navratna. On April 1, 2016, BEL's order book was estimated at around ₹ 300 billion.
BEL Optronic Devices Ltd. is a subsidiary company of BEL and is a public sector company (PSU) of the Government of India. It was founded in 1990 with the goal of conducting the research, development and manufacture of image intensifier tubes and corresponding high voltage power supplies for use in military, security and commercial systems. The company is headquartered in Pune and had aggregate revenues of 516 million ₹ (US $ 8.0 million) in fiscal 2007.
