A communications system is a collection of individual communications networks, transmission systems, relay stations, tax stations and data terminal equipment (DTE) normally capable of interconnection and interoperation to form an integrated whole. The components of a communications system serve a common purpose, are technically compatible, use common procedures, respond to controls, and operate in conjunction. Telecommunications are a method of communication (for example, for sports broadcasting, media, journalism, etc.). According to the Management Study Guide, there are several types of communication systems, including tactical, semi-duplex, duplex, optical and radio. Duplex communication systems involve two-way communication. Bidirectional communication can be performed in both directions simultaneously or in only one direction at a time. Tactical communication is an evolving communication based on available resources. Radio communication systems transmit information through radio waves, and optical communication is assisted by light. Communication systems are constantly evolving; Face-time or video chat is changing the way people can connect with each other daily.
