As the number of road users increases steadily and the resources provided are limited the intelligent driver of the road sign is a very important requirement. Therefore there is a need to simulate and optimize traffic control algorithms to better accommodate this growing demand. However there are some limitations to the use of intelligent traffic control. Avoiding traffic jams, for example; is beneficial to the environment and the economy as a decrease in each delay, number of stops, fuel consumption, pollutant emissions, etc.... But an improved traffic flow can also lead to an increase on the demand. Traffic light optimization The change increases the capacity of the road and the flow of traffic and can avoid traffic congestion. The fuzzy controller will regularly check traffic conditions to decide whether to extend or terminate a current phase. The work shows that replacing the conventional traffic control system with a fuzzy-based traffic control system can greatly reduce the delay in traffic congestion.
