It's been a long time when I saw ice maker using thermoacoustic. It is the same with a refrigerator and you can also adopt this in a refrigeration system. When you are using this machine, you can save time and effort.

Automatic ice maker using thermoacoustic refrigeration
This article describes An automatic ice maker for saving an ice making time. The refrigerator used in the homes for storing food consists of a compressor which circulates a refrigerant by compressing the refrigerant, a condenser for condensing the refrigerant to a liquid phase, and an evaporator for generating a chilled air by evaporating the liquid phase refrigerant. There is a freezing chamber for storing frozen foods such as meats or an ice cream, and a refrigerating chamber for storing foods at a relatively lower temperature. An ice maker having an ice tray is present in the freezer. A water supply device pours water into the ice tray and another driving device rotates the ice tray to separate the ice from it when the ice making process has been completed. Here, a relatively long time is required for making the ice because the ice making is carried out by using the temperature of the freezing chamber.
SUMMARY
To overcome the delay in icemaking, the refrigerator has a resonator filled up with an inertia gas; at least one ice tray attached to the resonator; a inertia gas compressing and expanding technique by applying an acoustic pressure to the resonator for varying temperature distribution in the resonator. There is means for transferring an inner temperature of the resonator to the ice tray, a reversible motor for driving the resonator in a forward or a reverse direction at an angle of 180 degrees, and
an electric control unit for sequentially operating the resonator part. The automatic ice maker can be adopted to a refrigerator or other refrigeration system.
