hi, im yasmin.. i would to get a coding for this project..
For this automated water gate for dam project, the required components are stepper motor, encoder, infrared as input and HyperTerminal as output.
A stepper motor is a DC motor that moves in a discrete steps which means that the motor will rotate one step at a time. This is good for a dam gate because dam gates open at one step at a time. This allow the gate to open according to the water level.
As for the infrared, it acts as a sensor that would indicate the water level if the automated gate needs to be open. Once the water level reaches a higher level that the required capacity, the infrared will send the signal to the encoder to open the gate. The HyperTerminal will act as an output that will display when the gate will open or close.

The "Automatic Packaging Control and Control System", called ARMAC for short, was developed by the engineers of Montanhydraulik India. It is a computerized control system for the monitoring and control of dams and reservoirs and is the result of our collective experience in the development and production of hydraulic drive systems for hydromechanical applications.
Taking into account the geographical and climatic conditions, both historical and in real time, ARMAC is used to calculate the optimal level of water for a reservoir, not only for the generation of energy, but also for the irrigation of the surroundings. ARMAC then orders the various doors to open or close in order to achieve the necessary flows and maintain the levels.
In addition, several dams along the same river system can be perfectly coordinated using ARMAC. The necessary software has been continuously developed by our engineers over the years. Today, ARMAC is successfully applied to numerous dams in many parts of the world.
It can be understood in the following video:
