RFID-based Assistance System

This requires a unique product, which has the ability to distinguish a different person. This is possible thanks to the new emerging RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) technology. The main parts of an RFID system are RFID tags (with unique identification number) and RFID reader (to read the RFID tag). In this system, the RFID tag and RFID reader used operate at 125KHz. The EEPROM used to store the details has the ability to store 256 details of one person at a time. The PC can be used to restore all assistance details made.

Radio frequency identification (RFID) technology is used to transfer data from an electronic tag using radio waves. The electronic tag, called an RFID tag or label, is attached to an object, through a reader to identify and track the object. RFID technology has been widely deployed by several organizations as part of their automation systems. In this project, an RFID-based system has been built to produce an attendance management system. This automated attention management system will make the whole process simple and will also provide a well-structured report of student attendance and time management pattern. These reports can help further to allocate and use the human resources of the university organization accordingly. This system consists of two parts that include: hardware and software. The hardware consists of a motor unit and an RFID reader. The RFID reader is a low frequency (125 kHz) reader that connects to the host computer via a serial to USB converter cable. The GUI of the time attendance system is developed using Visual Basic.Net using the C # language. The Asset Management System provides functionalities such as displaying live ID tag transactions, ID registration, ID erasure, recording assistance, and other secondary functions. This interface is installed on the host computer.
