India 2020: A vision for the new millennium (published in 1998 ISBN 0-670-88271-2) is a book written by the late former President of India APJ Abdul Kalam, before his term as president, and Mr. Yagnaswami Sundara Rajan.

The book examines in depth the weakness and strength of India, and offers a vision of how India can emerge to be among the world's top four economic powers by 2020. The Vision is dedicated to a young woman whom Kalam met and asked "What was your dream" so the girl replied: "I want to live in a developed India".

In his book India 2020, Kalam strongly advocates for an action plan to turn India into a strong nation by the year 2020. He considers his nation a knowledge superpower and a developed nation. Dr. Kalam has given a brief report on the ways to develop India by the year 2020. He has set a goal for all young people in India on how to make India develop by 2020.

Kalam has also said that it should be the dream of all citizens to see India as a developed country, only then would the dream come true. This book has been translated into multiple languages. India will develop only when the team is in struggle and the captain has to lead the team ahead. When a team achieves victory, it must be behind the team.

It also focuses on the ways in which India can advance in technology, development and more. The book describes the present and future scenario in India and the developed country. Compare the various statistical data and explain how India can improve it.
