The wheelchair system is recommended for controlling a wheelchair using the android application on the mobile device and voice recognition system. The main objective of this project or application is to facilitate and increase the mobility of the disabled and the elderly who are not able to move well due to their disabilities of the organs. The use of this wheelchair will enable people with disabilities to live an independent life, without depending on others for their movement as a daily need. Voice recognition technology is a key technology that will provide a new way of human interaction with machines or tools.
Therefore, the problems they face can be solved by using speech recognition technology for the wheelchair movement. This can be done and optimized with the use of the smartphone device as an intermediary or interface. In this project, interfaces have been designed to develop a speech recognition program that also controls chair movement and an application that can handle or manage graphic commands. This project uses arduino microcontroller circuitry kit and DC motors to create the wheelchair movement and infrared sensors to detect the obstacles between the wheelchair and the steering way.
However, many people with disabilities who need wheelchairs are satisfied with it, few members of the disabled community find it difficult or impossible to operate a standard wheelchair. This project is included in assistive technology. For handicapped and depend on disable is more independent, productive and enjoyable life. To perform the functions of a handicapped person with locomotive disabled need a wheelchair that require him or her to move. He / she can do it manually pushing the wheelchair with their hands. However many of us have weak upper limbs or find the manual mode of functioning too tired. Therefore, it is desirable to provide them with a powered wheelchair which is controlled by moving voice commands. Since the motorized wheelchair is important that you can avoid obstacles automatically in real time, you can move at a fair speed. The cost of this motorized wheelchair is affordable for as many disabled people as possible, as well as for the organizations that support it.
With these requirements in mind, we propose an automated wheelchair with Herald avoidance capability in real time. Power wheelchair control interfaces are not yet sufficient to provide mobility for a significant number of people with disabilities. Through research and wise design, the wheelchair to control the development along safe and effective use of the independence of the provision and mobility of self-use. This project will provide innovative disability weight solutions to handle wheelchairs to use the voice interface. Speech recognition is a key technology that can provide human interaction with machines to control a wheelchair. This project includes two parts that are software and hardware. It is realized that for the input of human voice we are using the android phone as an intermediary. In this project, the Ardiuno kit (Atmega 328) is used as a controller to control the movement of the wheelchair based on the human voice as input. There are five basic movements of a wheelchair to be applied by the user.
