Script for morning assembly compering for children
This was a small little project done for my 8 year old neighbor. She came to me one morning wondering if I could write a script for a morning assembly compering at school. It brought back memories of school, and how much fun I participated in these activities. I hope this post will benefit other kids and their moms out there who are looking for pointers on similar activities.
A and N are the participants.
Script:
Introduction:
N: Good morning to all those present here. I'm Anniya Arun.
N: And I am Nandana. We will be the presenters of today's assembly.
A: Nandana, it's a beautiful morning, is not it? I am very excited to see how the rest of the day goes.
N: Very true, Anniya. A new day means a new beginning and new opportunities. Let us greet this day with open arms.
Thinking of the day:
A: With the new day comes new strengths, new thoughts and infinite possibilities.
N: So, to enlighten and brighten our tomorrow, here comes XYZ with thought for the day.
News:
A: Did Nandana read the newspaper or did you hear the morning news today?
N: No, I could not, since I was in a hurry, getting ready for school.
A: Oh, you do not have to worry, since ABC has the latest news.
(OR)
A: (to Nandana) Do not you think it's incredible that the amount of news that happens in the world every day always fits exactly with the newspaper?
N: (To Anniya with a smile) Yes, that's truly fascinating Anniya. (Toward the audience) And to update us with the latest events around the world, we have ABC with the news today.
Song:
A: (Toward the audience) I think everyone may agree that you can listen to a certain song and that it will put you in a certain state of mind.
N: Very true. That's the beauty of music. To raise our spirits with a melodious song, here comes XYZ.
Play with junk food:
A: That was a beautiful song was not Nandana?
N: Yes Anniya, I'm sure everyone enjoyed it.
A: Nandana, I did not see you the last few days. What happened?
N: Oh, I was down with food poisoning.
A: I'm glad you're feeling better now. Foodborne illnesses have become a common occurrence now.
N: Yes, the main reason behind it is all junk food joints that have been opened.
A: (To Nandana) Very true.
(Toward the audience) So, to make us aware of the negative effects of junk food, here is a work of class 1-A students.
Conclusion:
Anniya: (to the audience) That was very entertaining and informative, right?
Nandana: I hope everyone enjoyed the assembly today.
Anniya: Seize all the opportunities that come your way today, with a smile on your face.
Nandana: I hope everyone has a wonderful day.
Together: Thank you!
