Can anyone help me in getting a synopsis for a alumini management system...It will be a offline windows application..

The objective of this Alumni Management System project is to build a system that can manage the data of students of a university and provide easy access to it. College alumni often keep in touch with their closest friends, but find it difficult to keep in touch with other college students. Contact between alumni can be used to forge business connections and obtain referrals or ideas in a new field. New college students will receive a student ID. Access to the system can help them establish connections to help them with their projects or locations.

The system will automatically show all college students as their students and their status will be transferred from the student module to the alumni module. Users will be asked to update the details of social networks, such as their Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter IDs. Users can also choose to automatically share new status updates from their LinkedIn profile. Users will also be able to share and promote their Facebook or Twitter commercial pages through the system. This unique system can avoid the requirement of any other Alumni organization. The system can track the location of the user as given by the user. Once the system alerts you that there are more than 10 students available in the same city, you can notify everyone about the possibility of a meeting.

Alumni may also provide public postings on the system about potential employment opportunities or other university related news. Since students are unlikely to check the system frequently, the system will be able to compile all public publications and create a newsletter that can be emailed to all students. The system will also have privacy features. Users can determine what information they want to share and who they want to share it with. For example, users can choose to share their Facebook profile and mobile number with alumni who graduated in the same year as them. They will also have a chat feature that will allow students to chat without revealing their mobile number or personal email id.
