Alumni Information Database
The objective of this alumni management system project is to create a system that will be able to manage the alumni of a college and will provide easy access to it. Former college students usually stay in touch with their immediate friends, but it is difficult to be associated with other colleges. Contact between alumni can be used to build business connections and to gain context or insights into a new field. Students of the new college will initially be given a student login ID, access to the system can help in making connections to assist them in their projects or for appointments.
The system will automatically list all students as alumni at their graduation level and their account status will be transferred from the student module to the alumni module. Users will be encouraged to update social network details such as their Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter handle. Users can automatically share new updates with their LinkedIn profile in a working position. Users will be able to share and promote their business via Facebook or Twitter page. This single system will be able to bypass the needs of any other alumni organization. Can track user location given user space Once the system notices that more than 10 alumni are available in the same city, then it can inform everyone about the possibility of a meeting.
Alumni will probably be able to provide public positions on systems about job opportunities or other college related news. Since it is not possible that the alumni will examine the system, the system will be able to organize all public posts and will prepare a newsletter which can be emailed to all alumni. The system also has privacy features users can determine which information they want to share and who they want to share it with. For example, users can choose to share their Facebook profile name and mobile number with alumni, who graduated in that year. They will also have a chat facility in the system, which would be chatting without altering their mobile number or personal e-mail ID
Existing student management current system
Created in the current system with countless Excel sheets created by each user. These sheets can be collected by an alumni organization and can be shared with all alumni but this activity can not be continuously. E-mail IDs can be freely shared and can be highly spam mails. This apparent lack of confidentiality will force many alumni to avoid sharing their details with their alumni. It is difficult to maintain the system on a regular basis by a small group of students.
Proposed alumni management system
The proposed system will be on-line, so it can be accessed by alumni anywhere. This will enable quick and easy communication. Each user will be responsible for updating their own information. Each user will also have the option of maintaining their own privacy and there is no need for constant attention of the group of students for its maintenance. By organizing former student assemblies and using this system, you will be able to find out about employment opportunities yourself.
Project modules
Administrator: The administrator will be responsible for creating new login id for incoming students. The administrator will also need to ensure that graduate students will be transferred to the alumni module. The administrator must browse the site to post any objectionable content. The administrator will be notified about users' complaints.
Student: Student modules can be used to browse through the site and use alumni information. Students will be able to chat through the system with alumni, if the alumni want to share e-mails and mobile numbers, then this can be done through chat. The student must obtain admin approval before posting anything on the site.
Alumni: Alumni alumni will be able to get information from other alumni and will also be able to see all their contact information (unless it is private). An alumni may consider any information relevant to that site.
