Today, many accidents are occurring due to the driver's alcohol consumption or the person driving the vehicle. Thus, driving while intoxicated is one of the main causes of accidents in almost every country in the world. We propose the detection of alcohol with alcohol detector connected to printed circuit board (PCB) so that when the alcohol level crosses an allowable limit, the vehicle ignition system turns off.
This system detects the alcohol content in the breath and therefore tries to repress the alcoholics. This system uses PIC16F877A, LCD display, MQ-3gas sensor, relay and buzzer. The output of the sensor is directly proportional to the alcohol content consumed. Nowadays the alcohol sensor plays an important role in our society and has extensive applications. This type of sensors in cars is a great safety factor that can be incorporated into the direction of cars. When the driver starts the ignition, the sensor measures the content of the alcohol in his breath and automatically shuts off the car that will stop the drink driving offenders. Thus we can reduce alcohol related traffic accidents and therefore these types of detectors have a great relevance. It can also be used in schools, colleges, offices and some public places such as hospitals, libraries, etc. A. Purpose and Objective: The primary purpose is "Conduct Detection". Now one day, many accidents are happening due to the alcohol consumption of the driver or the person who is driving the vehicle. Thus, driving while intoxicated is one of the main causes of accidents in almost every country in the world. Alcohol detector in the car is designed for the safety of people sitting inside the car. If the person inside the car has consumed alcohol, then it is detected by the sensor. The sensor gives this signal to an IC comparator. It is the CPU of the complete circuit. The microcontroller gives high pulse to the buzzer circuit and the buzzer goes on. At the same time a relay is turned off. Because of this the ignition of the car is deactivated.
