Sandesh Media Group, editors of Gujarati newspaper Sandesh, has launched a weekly newspaper entitled Agro Sandesh, on July 4. The tabloid is dedicated to the food industries of Gujarat.
The new agricultural weekly has a cover price of Rs 6 per copy, with an annual subscription of Rs 275. Launched with an initial 3-lakh print run, the company aims to touch 5 lakh copies in late September 2011. The content mix of the 24-page tabloid-sized Gujarati weekly will include news and views on Gujarat's agriculture, dairy, livestock and cooperative sector, political news affecting the socio-economic lives of farmers, national, National Developments , Farmers' success stories, research and development, new projects, information on processing of agricultural products, market rates and trends, and weather forecasting and guidance.
Apart from this, Agro Sandesh will also carry information on various schemes of central and state government, agricultural technology and the export of agricultural products.
