The electric power theft detection system is used to detect unauthorized shunting on distribution lines. Application area of this system is a distribution network of electric power supply system. The existing system can not identify the exact location of the bypass. This system really discovers on which electrical line there is a bypass. This is a real-time system. The technique of wireless data transmission and reception is used. This will provide an additional facility of wireless meter reading with the same technique and at the same cost. This will protect the distribution network from the theft of energy made by taps, manipulation of the meter, etc.

The basic procedure for power supply includes power generation, power transmission and power distribution to destinations. Of course, due to few technical failures, losses may occur due to the dissipation of power by some devices.
