Skinput allows the user to simply touch their skin in order to control audio devices, play games, make phone calls. Screen Skinput converts the body into a touch screen surface. Uses the sensors to determine where the user taps into their skin. The device called the imaginary interface located in the palm of the user's hand. This user interface is "imaginary" in the sense that there is nothing actually beyond the bare hand. The photo below shows how an imaginary "mobile phone" could be installed on the user's left hand. As each point is touched, a specific mobile function would be activated and announced by a computerized voice, for this system to actually work, there must be some way for users to hear the computer, such as using a headset. More importantly, there must be a way for the computer to know what part of the hand the user is playing. In Gustafson's research prototype, this was done with an optical motion tracker that seemed too clumsy for real-world applications. But that's okay; We can easily imagine advances in recognizing gestures that would be more portable and less intrusive. Although you will not be able to buy a handset anytime soon, it is definitely worth considering the potential of the interfaces where users touch instead of a mobile. The system is a combination of two technologies: the ability to detect ultra low frequency sound and Pico projectors. The Pico projector applies the use of the projector in one hand. An acoustic detector detects the ultra low frequency also responds to different hand gestures.
