Have you ever found yourself away from home, wishing you had your desktop machine with you Have you ever wished you could show someone, remotely, how to do something instead of talking them through it over the phone These things and much more can be done with a nifty little freeware utility called Virtual Network Computing, or VNC.
What VNC does is this: it enables a remote user (who knows the password) to take control of your machine via the internet. They can view files, run programs, delete stuff, etc ....etc

ABSTRACT:- In the autumn of 1969, we decided to try a new approach to the design of a virtual machine operating system. Until that time, most installations using Virtual Machine Monitors merely ran operating systems that already existed for €œstand-alon use. Few, if any, installations had attempted to design and create an operating system that took advantage of its running environment. ABSTRACT
Virtual Private Networks is a concept introduced to implement global Wide Area Network(WAN) on the Internet. This way enormous costs involved in the traditional implementation of these networks i.e. through dedicated lines or satellite links is reduced considerably. A way to maintain fast, secure and reliable communications is attained wherever the offices are.

In the VPN, Internet is used as the data pipelined replacing the traditional datalines. This approach is just right for small and medium sized busines ....etc
