This project aims at building a DNS server which supports IPv6 name resolution. To achieve this,the server which has provision of complete support for both IPv4 and IPv6 in hosts and routers has been configured. The mechanism called the IPv6 over IPv4 is used(IPv6 over IPv4 is the method of encapsulation of IPv6 packets within IPv4 headers over IPv4 network). the latest version of bindconf tool is used for building the linux IPv6 DNS server with IPv6 name resolution .
