Opportunistic networks are wireless mobile networks in which a continuous end-to-end path between a source and a destination is not necessary. Messages are stored at intermediate nodes, and opportunistically forwarded when a more suitable next hop towards the destination becomes available. A very interesting aspect understands how usersâ„¢ mobility patterns impact on the performance of routing protocols. Abstract—
Mobile Ad Hoc Network (MANET) is collection of
multi-hop wireless mobile nodes that communicate with each
other without centralized control or established infrastructure.
The wireless links in this network are highly error prone and
can go down frequently due to mobility of nodes, interference

Ad Hoc network is a big collection of wireless mobile hosts forming a temporary network without the aid of any centralized administration, in which individual nodes cooperate by forwarding packets to each other to allow nodes to communicate beyond direct wireless transmission range.
