I am using UART for communicating 8 modules having LPC2148 microcontroller as a slave with another module having LPC2148 as master.But I am finding a constraint of wire length(I have read some articles on net which suggest a wire length of 2.6 mtrs for a baudrate of 56000bps) Can I replace this with MODBUS communication ?If yes where can I get information about modbus? ....etc

Laser Transmitter Plus Receiver

Transmitter is a laser tube connected to high voltage supply.The message to be transmitted is supplied to Audio in side with resistance of the coil 8ohm.The other side coil has resistance 2000ohm. When audio signal is given to the coil it modulates the high voltage supply and lazer tube will emit laser light in proportional to the sound signal .

Please help me to interface rishabh energy meter EM 1340 with Arduino Uno. I have tried using ModbusMaster Library and SimpleModbus Library for coding in arduino. I have build RS485 to TTL converter using MAX485 IC and circuit which is given in SimpleModbus Library . I can share the code with you . My problem is that i am always getting Timeout Error . I checked on DSO the query at the converter end is not what is accepted , I mean when arduino sends query the message in form of square wave but at converter end their is loading . Please tell me ....etc
