We have done a detailed analysis of the visual properties of the HSV (Hue, Saturation and Intensity Value) color space and Human visual system. Using the results of these analyses, we determine relative importance of hue and intensity based on the saturation of an image pixel with respect to rod and cone cells excitation of retina. We effectively apply this method to the generation of a color histogram and use it for content-based image retrieval applications. This paper presents a zero tree coding method for color images that uses no lists during encoding and decoding,permitting the omission of the lists requirement in Said and Pearlman's Set Partitioning In Hierarchical Trees (SPIHT) algorithm . Without the lists, the memory requirement in a VLSI implementation is reduced significantly. This coding algorithm is also developed to reduce the circuit complexity of an implementation. In this paper, a novel moving object modeling suitable for multicamera correspondence is introduced. Taking into consideration the color and motion features of foreground objects in each independent video stream, our method segments the existing moving objects and constructs a graph-based structure to maintain the relational information of each segment.
