SOAP's place in the web services technology stack is as a standardized packaging protocol for the messages shared by the applications. This is a LAN Messenger designed to function in a heterogeneous network containing mainly machine running on windows-based and Linux-based machines on which the Java Virtual Machine( JVM) is running.
