Abstract
Edge detection is a basic and important subject in computer vision and image processing. In this paper we discuss several digital image processing techniques applied in edge feature extraction. Firstly, wavelet transform is used to remove noises from the image collected. Secondly, some edge detection operators such as Differential edge detection, Log edge detection, canny edge detection and Binary morphology are analyzed. Abstract
An integrated methodology for the detection and removal of cracks on digitized paintings is presented in this paper. The cracks are detected by thresholding the output of the morphological top-hat transform. Afterwards, the thin dark brush strokes which have been mis identified as cracks are removed using either a Median Radial Basis Function (MRBF) neural network on hue and saturation ....etc
