I am working on a project whereby i need to use Logic gates(ICS) to perform the following.

A Digital clock which displays hours minutes and seconds.
This circuit must perform a task for instance flashing of a green light every hour and after 6 hours have passed a red light would flash.

can you help me out please? ....etc

In this project we use Dallas Semiconductor's RTC DS12C887 to keep the time updated and display it on LCD for the end user. It can also give the alarm on user defined time.
