The overall demand in the market today is for two wheels with excellent fuel economy, excellent energy performance and cleaner and greener emissions. This study has tested a simple device for the preparation of the mixture in a spark-ignition engine (external vaporization carburetor) with the ability to provide the engine with a homogeneous fuel mixture and correctly provided for different operating conditions. This carburetor works on the principle of adiabatic vaporization of gasoline liquid fuel prior to introduction into the engine cylinder. This vaporization is achieved by passing atmospheric air sucked by the blower, the fan is used to pass the atmospheric air forcefully into the chamber through the perforated tube. The chamber contains gasoline up to the level of the perforated tube. An aperture is provided to the chamber to supply the air-fuel mixture to the carburetor in the form of vapor. Performance and exhaust emissions from the engine were studied using gasoline and oil (lubricating oil) using conventional carburetors and vaporization. The results have shown that the vaporization carburetor has numerous advantages over conventional carburetors. The advantages include improved fuel economy and exhaust emission, which can be attributed to the outward slant of the mixture that could be prepared using the external vaporization carburetor.
