Bansode [1996] conducted an investigation on "A study of labor welfare facilities at the Jamshri SPG and WVG factories" co.ltd, Solapur. It shows that the company strives to provide welfare facilities to workers in accordance with legal provisions. Company must provide all facilities according to the demand and need of workers that will help increase the efficiency of workers.


Bahnudas [2007] conducted an investigation on a study of "Work wellness activities and their impact on the quality of life of workers with special reference to Maharashtra Scooters Ltd", Satara. The main objective of the research is to study and examine the occupational welfare activities available to workers on Maharashtra bikes. Sample size 48 was taken for research. He also found the impacts of welfare facilities on the lives of workers. The data were collected through observation, interviews with the manager of personnel and questionnaire for workers. She concluded that the safety training program and safety equipment provisions keep workers free of injuries. Thus the life of the workers becomes safer, happier and full of enjoyment. Excellent licensing facilities are provided to workers to meet their needs. Provisioning of pension funds, tips and pension plans allows workers to spend their retirement in a much better way. Well-being services are helpful in keeping workers in good moral and health condition. The company does not have medical facilities for families. Most workers are unable to fulfill their habit of reading due to inadequate time. Accident insurance plan is beneficial for workers. The payment of the days in which the workers remained absent due to an accident are being paid by the company. Through the credit society the financial problems with the aspects of the purchase of essential products must be solved. The company is providing interest-free loans to workers.

Banu and Ashifa (2011) conducted a research study on "occupational welfare measures in the Public Sector Transport Corporation" which sheds light on welfare measures followed in the Public Sector Transport Corporation. This study analyzes the different dimensions of the measures of work well-being perceived in the work. The researcher sought to find out how existing welfare measures meet the needs of Public Sector Transport Corporation 20 employees. We used the randomized random sampling method and 20 employees from 5 departments, Department of Operations, Department of Personnel, Department of Material, Industrial Relations Department and Technical Section.
