hi i am aditya ,btech student i need a report water management portal.........
Water management is the control and movement of water resources to minimize damage to life and property and to maximize efficient beneficial use. Good water management of dams and dams reduces the risk of damage from flooding. Irrigation water management systems make the most efficient use of limited water supplies for agriculture.

Drainage management involves water budgeting and the analysis of surface and sub-surface drainage systems. Sometimes, water management involves changing practices, such as groundwater abstraction rates, or water allocation for different purposes.

The Water Data Portal (WDP), following the "one stop shop" approach, provides access to a wealth of water and agricultural data. WDP contains meteorological, hydrological, socioeconomic, spatial data layers, satellite imagery, as well as configurations of hydrological models. WDP data, both spatial and non-spatial, are supported by standardized metadata and are available for download by the user, including academics, scientists, researchers, and decision makers. However, access is made in accordance with copyright, intellectual property rights and data agreements with our partners.

The water management information portal is a public information system that provides information guaranteed by the State in accordance with the second. 19 and 22 of the Water Law (254/2001), as provided by Decree 414/2013 col., And Decree 252/2013 col. In addition, the portal provides up-to-date information on river discharge, levels and quality, rainfall, water quality and levels of reservoirs and other comprehensive information on the waters of the Czech Republic.

The system is administered by the Ministry of Agriculture in cooperation with the Ministry of the Environment and other central water authorities (Ministry of Transport and Ministry of Defense). At present, the system represents a platform that provides updated information in a simplistic and efficient way. For more detailed information on each record, the user is redirected to an appropriate map portal managed by an authorized organization. The system functions as a distributed information system that extracts source data from different databases.

The Ministry of Agriculture is currently carrying out the preparation phase of a water information system development project. The goal of the project is to upgrade data transfer technologies and the underlying system database to ensure better connectivity, develop an advanced map viewer that allows a unified presentation of spatial information from different sources and update the portal view To allow a better presentation of all the information required in accordance with the INSPIRE Directive.
