Automatic room light controller with visitor counter using microcontroller is a reliable circuit that assumes the task of controlling the room lights also us counting the number of people / visitors in the room very accurately. When someone enters the room, then the counter increases by one and the light in the room will turn on and when someone leaves the room, then the counter is decremented by one. The light will just turn off until all the people in the room come out. The total number of people in the room is also displayed on the seven-segment screens.
The microcontroller does the previous work. It receives the signals from the sensors, and this signal is operated under the control of the software that is stored in ROM. The AT89S52 microcontroller continuously monitors the infrared receivers, when any object passes through the IR receiver then the IR rays falling into the receiver are obstructed, this obstruction is detected by the microcontroller.
