The development of ISO 10303-21, STEP neutral le has given more scope in the area of Automatic Fea- ture Recognition and also the Automatic Feature Recognition generally done earlier are not associated with the geometric data of the recognized features required to initiate process planning. This paper deals with automatic recognition of internal features with the extraction of its geometry required for process Planning using STEP neutral le. This paper has been arranged in different sections as Methodology, classication of features into types, development of STEP Reader for Internal features and recognition of internal features.
