Effort Tracker System

This project is aimed at developing a Effort Tracker System that is of importance to an organisation. The Effort Tracker System is used to track the employee activities and summarize all related activities with the total hours spent and percentage efficiency utilized and generate a report for the same.

Effort Tracker System that is of importance to an organisation. The Effort
Tracker System is used to track the employee activities and summarize all
related activities with the total hours spent and percentage efficiency
utilized and generate a report for the same.

1. A person should be able to
 login to the system through the first page of the
application
 add/modify/delete a task
 Start the timer to track the task. More than one task can
be selected. In this case the weightage of the timer is
distributed such that the total weightage of all the tasks
selected becomes 100%
 Stop the timer
 Submit a weekly report to his superior
 View the submitted and the non-submitted reports
 Modify the non-submitted report
 Modify the approvers name and the project code
 Get help about the Effort Tracker system on how to use
the different features of the system
2. As soon as a weekly report is submitted by the employee, an
automatic email should be sent to his superior (approver) giving
details about the report.

Browser based

Solutions must be created using
 HTML, CSS (Web Presentation )
 JavaScript (Client-side Scripting)
 Java (as programming language)
 JDBC, JNDI, Servlets, JSP (for creating web applications)
 Eclipse with MyEclipse Plug-in (IDE/Workbench)
 Oracle/Access (Database)
 Windows XP/2003 or Linux/Solaris (Operating System)
 BEA WebLogic/JBoss/WebSphere (Server Deployment)

The application should be highly secured and with different levels &
categories of access control.

Guidelines for Effort Tracking System

The Effort Reporting Tracking System (ETS) was designed to maintain
a uniform internal control system for Departments. The ETS will enhance WCMC’s ability to comply with federal
regulations and institutional requirements regarding effort reporting.

1. The ETS will track funded and pending grants as well as institutional
awards.
2. The ETS will track actual and committed effort (including all WCMC
activities included in effort calculations such as research, teaching,
administration, and other activities).
3. The ETS will maintain historical data, an audit trail, and track any
effort reductions made to a grant throughout the budget cycle of an
award.
4. The ETS will also alert Administrators when PIs have effort levels
exceeding 98%.

Quarterly Audit Reports:

The ETS will facilitate the completion of the Quarterly Audit Reports by
supplying the Departments with the ability to generate the following:

1. Notification of investigators with effort percentages over 98%.
2. The total number of faculty in the Department actively involved in research.
3. The total number of staff charged with ETS data entry responsibility and
maintenance.
4. Justifications/notes on specified effort modifications including changes in
committed effort, effort reductions of 25% or more, and effort associated with
K-Awards, etc.

1. The ETS includes a complete/Coeus generated list as of January 2008 of
Departments, Divisions, Investigator Names, Sponsoring Agencies, Initial
Grant Numbers, Grant Titles, and all WCMC staff who will be responsible for
maintaining the ETS at the Department level.
2. The ETS does not include committed effort that may have been stated on an
application or grant proposal. Committed effort data entries will be completed
by the Departments. The ETS does not include new grant numbers or new
grants entered into Coeus as of January 2008.
3. The ETS will require Departmental data input and maintenance.

How ETS Should Be Used

The ETS should be used to track all effort expended on funded projects including
federally funded, non-federally funded, and institutional awards. The ETS will also track
effort expended on Other Activities including Administration, Teaching, Clinical, and
Other. Pending projects will be tracked in ETS and changed to funded projects upon
approval from the sponsor. ETS users should be familiar with the Definitions section of
this guideline.
kindly send me d details on effort tracker system........

A project tracking system to record all information received, accumulated data can be extremely valuable for the provision of official reports during the duration of the project or at the weekly staff meetings. A complete job tracking system that allows the management to create customized reports with just a few mouse clicks.

I also need the source code for Effort Tracker System so please can you send it to ritika.singh1712[at]gmail.com
Larger organizations will use the website for the purpose of the time sheets entry system. Each employee will have a separate login to enter the system and enter the time sheets. In this project there will be 3 users as Administrator, Report Manager and Employee. It is an intuitive web-based tracking system to collect and track project and employee time.

The existing system, usually in a company, employees enter the office at different times. To manage employee times, we write the time of entry and exit of employees in a register, we had some problems like, a person can cross the door multiple times that can not be monitored, and not only that, this existing System can not absolutely tell the authorities the individual working hours and the ability of an employee. The proposed system will help the administrator or administrator reduce their time spent on various data maintenance tasks, reduce the time spent in reporting, and help provide better and more easily managed services to their employees.

The proposed system will provide the significant amount of time and effort invested by employees from time to time, helping management to know the capabilities of their employees. The System also provides several metrics for analyzing employee performance for the department. It helps the administration to dynamically add questions to the database. Provides a mechanism through which the administrator can save the existing database to the file. The employee can immediately know their capacity and weekly work hours once or when the task assigned to them is finished. The system will be available to the administrator for use at any time and place of the company
