Why this project?
Security in travel is primary concern for every one.
Accident spot can be detected.
SMS can be received from the spot.
Importance of GSM
GSM (Global System for Mobile communications).
GSM is a digital cellular communications system.
It is used for transmitting mobile voice and data services.
International roaming capability.
Encryption capability for information security and privacy
Better security against fraud (through terminal validation and user authentication)
IMPORTANCE OF GPS
GPS (Global Positioning System)
GPS always transmits the data
GPS Receiver gets the location information from satellites.
89C52 MICROCONTROLLER
8052 controller is Mask Programmable.
Derivative of 8052 microcontroller is the 89C52 microcontroller.
It has 4 ports.
It is an 8 bit device for I/O.

It also has Timer, Serial Port interface and Interrupt controlling.
MAX 232
MAX 232 is an dual driver/receiver
It is used to convert the TTL/CMOS logic levels to RS232 logic levels during serial communication of microcontrollers with PC.
We require:
TTL logic level (0-5V) and
RS232 standards (-25 V to + 25V).
Hence difficult to establish a direct link.
We go for an intermediate page link i.e. MAX232.
MAX232 provides best noise rejection and very reliable against discharges and short circuit.
Power Supply
Hardware & Softwares used
This project uses :
regulated 5V, 500mA power supply.
7805 three terminal voltage regulator is used for voltage regulation.
Bridge type full wave rectifier is used to rectify the ac out put of secondary of 230/12V step down transformer.

If anybody steals our car we can easily find our car around the globe. By keeping vehicle positioning vehicle on the vehicle.
We can use our kit for detection of bomb by connecting to the bomb detector.
Applications:
Automotives and transport vehicles.
Security, remote monitoring, transportation and logistics.
This system also can be interfaced with vehicle airbag system.
Conculsion
The positioning is done in the form of latitude and longitude along with the exact location of the place, by making use of Google maps..
