Abstract:
A Food world supermarket is a place that has all the household items under one roof.
A supermarket that has a large number of products, their respective departments, customers and vendors, has a large number of data base to handle.
Maintenance of such information manually may prove an inadequate job to deal with.
The various operations that a supermarket needs to do like updating the information of the product, their respective departments, customers records, vendor records; retrieval or manipulation of the same, are difficult to carry out manually.
The paper work is not feasible for such a huge system. The machine maintenance of such data will be an easier asks to do. Thus this will also save the time and energy of the employees and also a desirable database can be maintained with formalizing and technique support.
The main issue in such a big department is security of the database. This drawback also can be wiped off due to this system.
The security and privacy of the data base can be maintained as the system will help in generating authorized passwords and codes.
Problem description:
• The maintenance of data without any manipulation is the basic problem faced mostly in such big departmental stores.
• The second most important problem faced is the security of the data base to avoid theft and misuse of data.
Need of the system:
• The various operations that a supermarket needs to do are difficult to carry out manually.
• The paper work is not feasible for such a huge system.
• The main issue in such a big department is security of the database. This drawback also can be wiped off due to this system.
System study:
Introduction:

The supermarket database system is the software package that aims to automate the maintenance of the database of the customers, vendors, products, their respective departments and billing information of the customers and vendors, their node of payment.
All the frequently needed operations are identified and will be implemented in the package.
The basic aspects that are needed for a supermarket database system can be classified into:
Insertion
Deletion
Modification
Retrieval
Of the customers, departments, vendors, bank and products.
