In today’s world, security has become a major thing and becomes very important
Cryptography has been the most popular technology for the security purpose.
Due to some limitations in cryptography has triggered to BIOMETRICS based cryptographic key.
Human Iris was found out the best biometric identifier. Iris of the same person captured in different time may differ due to signal noise of the environment.
Hamming distance and weighted Euclidean distance are used to match the iris pattern and identification process.
Objective
In our project, we are going to correct the signal noise errors using Reed Solomon error correction code by enrolling iris image along with the password.
Our results can assure a higher security with a low false rejection or false acceptance rate.
Why biometrics?
 In recent year wide varieties of identification and authentication options for security d has been obtained through key, smartcard, ID badges, password, PIN, security questions.
 These security features are easily stolen,forgotten,shared and cracked.
 So biometrics is an unrevealing one which fulfills the properties of nonrepudiation,privacy and unbreakable security.
BIOMETRICS
Biometrics refers to the identification and verification of a human identity by measuring and analyzing the physiological or the biological information of a human.

Basically biometrics can be divided into two types. They are

ABSTRACT

Due to some limitations in cryptography has triggered to BIOMETRICS based cryptographic key.
Human Iris was found out the best biometric identifier. Iris of the same person captured in different time may differ due to signal noise of the environment.

Objective
Iris of the same person captured at different time may differ due to the signal noise of the iris camera or environmental errors such as dust in human eye
Those errors are corrected by reed solomon error correction code which has excellent burst correction capability.
the output provides higher security with a low false rejection or false acceptance rate
