INPUT DEVICES

Input devices gather and translate data into a form the computer understands.
Primary input device:
Keyboard - Most common input device; used to type in commands and data.
Mouse - Enhances user’s ability to input commands, manipulate text, images.
Scanners are peripheral input devices which allow users to import:
Text
Graphics
Images
Hardware - Physical components that make up a computer system

Software - Computer programs and related data that provide the instructions for telling computer hardware what to do and how to do it
