INTRODUCTION
No organisation can function properly without a supply of data to give the essential information for decision-making. It is essential that the data and information should reach the people who need them quickly and in correct format.
The use of database ensures that data is made available as widely as possible within the organisation.
The system is having the following embedded systems:
1. Students System
2. Employee Record Application
3. Library System
1. Student system
The present manual system requires daily updating of a number of registers have to be maintained for recording the student details, classes and section details and student fees transactions. There is an increased risk of error in the manual system.
In view of the above, a proposal-computerized system is strongly neede
2. Employee Record Application
The present manual employee records application for the school requires daily updating of a number of registers. Different registers have to be maintained for recording the different employee details, details of departments, curricular activities, student book issue details etc.
3. Library System
The present manual Library Management requires daily updating of a number of registers have to be maintained for recording the different books details, member’s details and for recording daily transactions. There is an increased risk of error in the manual system.
OBJECTIVE
They are as follows: -
1. Student System

The objective of the proposed system would be to overcome the problems faced in the manual system. Updating records would not be a problem and also cross checking of records in the proposed system would not be required.
Bill number and net amount of fees and the other being the details table which records the items purchased in a particular fees with the main fields like bus fees, library fees and management fees.
2. Employee Record Application
The objective of the proposed system would be to overcome the problems faced in the manual system. Updating records would not be a problem and also cross checking of records in the proposed system would not be required. Mathematical, accounting and logical errors would get automatically rectified in the proposed system. Different reports can be generated on the click of a button. Design of the proposed system must take the following into consideration.
3. Library System
The objectives of the proposed system would be to overcome the problems faced in the manual system. Updating records would not be a problem and also cross checking of records in the proposed system would not be required.
Security: -
As the system is being used, it must provide ways to secure the data transfer. The system must be capable enough to give entry to users who are authorized to use the system.
2.1. Existing System
2.2. Requirement Analysis
2.3. Limitation of Existing System
2.4. Need for New System
2.5. Preliminary Investigation
2.6. Feasibility
2.7. Data Flow Diagram (DFD)
Analysis is a process of examining the existing system and understating the way, the current is being run. So that one becomes able to understand the various entities that the participating in the current system and the inter relationship between them.
2.1 Existing System
Presently there are staffs that answer the queries of the customers and the visiting people at the airport enquiry as well as on ticketing counter. Customers have to wait in the queue for their turn to come. Customers say their query to the enquiry counter staff and after seeing the details in his computer, which is stored in document form, staff’s gives the reply to the passenger. Almost same thing happens on booking and ticketing counters as well. In these counters the staff first checks the seat available of a particular flight on specific date then he books the seat on customers demand. Records are also maintained about money received from ticketing and cancellation charge and also money refund after cancellation. These data are used while preparing reports by the staff.
Reports are being made on daily, monthly and annual basis. These reports are made in MS-Excel after seeing the details from file.
2.2 Requirement analysis
Requirement analysis involves studying the current system to find out how it works, to identify the areas where it shows inability to perform the desired task and working out the improvements needed to be made. The system study resulted in an evaluation of how the current system was working, whether it was a totally manual system or a man –machine oriented system, and whether any adjustments were required in the current system. The demonstration of requirement thus necessitated studying the existing the system and collecting details about the existing system to find out what these requirements were. After discussion following question were asked to clarify the idea of proposed system. E.g.
 Who are going to use the system?
 What would be the input screen design?
 What would be the input screen design?
 What would be the mode of data entry?
 What are the queries users would want to make?
 What data the users would like to capture?
2.3 Limitations of Existing System
Limitation plays an important role in software development. When there is no limitation in any system that means the system is running smoothly and there is no need to upgrade the existing system to develop a new system.
In this project, present system is very slow which makes it inconvenient for both staff and students and library. Whether it is enquiry, results, book issues, book returns or reporting, all takes lots of time. In enquiry, books issues ask the library books details and after seeing the information he gives the reply to the members. Again when students want to book issues, he first checks availability books then issues book. After putting all the information from the form into the file of his computer. So, there are always staffs between the students and the information stored. This takes lot of time.
In reporting, staffs have to check one record from different files and put the data in a tabular form. No other option is available in the present system, so staffs have to follows this procedure that is very time consuming and tedious task.
2.4 Need for New System
Need of the hour is to give the students a new and convenient look of the school in library. They don’t have to waste time and energy in the queue and running from one counter to another. Need is to reduce staff in between students and information stored so that students get information quickly and independently. Lots of staff is being deployed for these purposes are the wastage of manpower, which can be utilized on different works.
Staff also face lots of problem in preparing the reports and answering the queries of the students. So, software is required to fulfil the need of the students as well as staff.
Need is also to install good number of independent set of computer terminals on the school connected with the main computer (server). By these terminals students can get information, which they ask from the staff in the present system. These computers should have ideal software.
2.5 Preliminary Investigation
The purpose of the preliminary investigation is to evaluate projects. It is the collecting of information that helps me to evaluate merits of the project request and makes an informed judgement about the feasibility of the proposed project.
The data collected during preliminary investigation are gathered through three primary methods –
 Reviewing Organisation Documents
 On – site Observation
 Conducting Interviews
